| QUESTION: I have a CBR 600f4 i don't like the one piece banana seat so i want a cowl. Where wouldi install the screws so it stays on? on the tail fairing? and can i take it off easy incase i have a passenger on? thanks for your help if it works out i'm getting one thanks! | |
| ANSWER: The seat cowl goes over the tailpiece just above the taillight at the rear, and at the front, there are two aluminum clips with threaded inserts that fsten to the passenger grab strap on the saddle. The cowl fastens to these two clips with a 6mm screw into the inserts on the clips. The seat cowl can be removed by removing the two screws and slipped off for riding a passenger or removal of the saddle. | |
| QUESTION: will it fit the '05 F4I? | |
| ANSWER: This seat cowl is for the 2000 600-F4, and the silver color is Accurate Silver. For the 2005, you will want a 25-151SL which is called Iron Nail Silver, however we do not have a color match yet, and likely will be several weeks. | |
| QUESTION: yeah i was wondering with this product can u still access the trunk of the bike? ( the compartment under the seat for keys, cigarettes ect) | |
| ANSWER: The underseat area is still accessible, however to remove the saddle, you need to remove the seat cowl (two screws) since it fits over the tail above the taillight. To remove the saddle you must unlock it and push it slightly forward to lift. The seat cowl fitting over the taillight prevents any forward movement of the saddle unless the seat cowl is removed. It's not a big deal, but needs to be done. Takes a minute. |
